A Day at East Branch Dog Park on CineStill 400D 35mm Film

Ohhh its always so much fun trying out new (to me) types of 35mm film. This is the CineStill 400D 35mm film that came out just a few years ago. If there’s one thing I always loved about CineStill it is how it handles light, and it literally glows. You can see it glowing on all of those highlight. It is beautiful, just beautiful.

These photos were captured at the East Branch Off-Leash Dog Park in Glendale Heights in early Spring 2025.

The first and last shot are always so fun because you can get some results like this. I love the way the film looks like it is on fire between the frame and white-space! Seeing these now, I just keep on daydreaming about seeing leaves on the trees again, but I also know how much I will miss the color of this time of year… so tan with long shadows.
