HARMAN PHOENIX II 200 COLOR FILM | 35mm film REVIEW
HARMAN PHOENIX II 35mm film is the latest color film from HARMAN’s lineup. It was released on July 16, 2025 and features improvements in its contrast, grain and sharpness from its predecessor (HARMAN PHOENIX COLOR).
My last blog was a review of the original HARMAN Color film, you can head over there next to see the comparison between the two.
They were not kidding when they said they improved the contrast with this film. That is the first thing I noticed. The contrasting tones between light and dark are so rich!
If I am being honest though, I really love both of these films for different reasons. I love the new level of contrast with what you see here, but I really loved the level of warm color tones that its predecessor had with highlights. As someone who loves to shoot straight into the sun, the original was the bees knees for that.
This next photo is from the original HARMAN color film, just to give you an idea of what I’m referring to. It’s so golden its almost purple with those warm hues.
But this contrast though, that is what we are here for… the HARMAN Phoenix II Color Film, and a day at Starved Rock State Park!
