KODAK CHARMERA | SNAPSHOTS OF THE FLAMINGO SCULPTURE IN CHICAGO WITH A NOVELTY KEYCHAIN CAMERA

It’s noon in Chicago on a 45 degree day in February, let’s go for a short walk to the Flamingo sculpture at the Chicago Post Office. With the Kodak Charmera!

I will do a tech-spec post about this little camera (that is also a keychain!) sometime in the near future. But for now I’m going to go for a walk with this to find out how, or why, it was named one of the best inventions of 2025 by Time Magazine, and kept selling out just before the holidays.

This camera is so small, it really made me laugh taking some “serious” photos with it. On a FUN scale of 1 - 10, this is an 11 for sure. Quality wise, it is closer to a 1 or 2.

Am I glad I added it to my camera bag? Without a doubt.

If anything, it got me thinking outside of the box more in terms of composition. Having something this small, that I can keep in my pocket and work on that muscle memory of taking pictures and being creative is highly worth it.

Chicago is such an iconic city, and photographing it with a brand that is just as iconic is always fun to blend together.
